Australian actress Margot Robbie has changed her name to Margot Ackerley, 10 years after marrying her husband, Tom Ackerley.
As per documents published by the UK’s Companies House, the Barbie star has changed from her maiden name Robbie to her married name.
The couple’s production company LuckyChap Entertainment now has the co-founder listed as Margot Ackerley.
It is unclear whether the actress will continue to go by her maiden name in her career, but the documents’ change could signal a move in that direction.
Fans online were left stunned by the name change, with some calling it a “bad business decision”.
“Why would you do that when your name is your brand,” one person wrote on social media.
