Trescothick completed his interim stint in charge of the side by wrapping a 3-0 whitewash over Pakistan and will immediately join up with Brendon McCullum's white-ball side for their forthcoming series against Sri Lanka on Sunday.

Fellow Kiwis Tim Southee and Jeetan Patel are also involved with the bowling group, Australian Marcus North is a recent arrival as national selector and his compatriot Mike Hussey was reportedly sounded out by Fleming as a possible Test batting mentor.
