Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar Highlights Early Heart Health Checks

Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar hosted a community awareness program for World Heart Day, emphasizing the importance of early screening and preventive lifestyle changes. Medical experts highlighted that regular monitoring of blood pressure, sugar, and cholesterol is essential for identifying cardiovascular risks before they become critical.
Why it matters
Proactive cardiovascular health management is a critical public health strategy to reduce the global burden of heart disease and improve long-term patient outcomes.
Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar observed World Heart Day with a heart health awareness programme focused on early screening, timely diagnosis and preventive lifestyle measures, bringing together around 100 participants from community organisations and neighbouring areas.
The programme was attended by members of the Rotary Club, Inner Wheel Radiant, Khandagiri Welfare Society, Satyasai Enclave and surrounding communities. Participants interacted with the hospital’s Cardiac Sciences team on recognising warning signs, monitoring cardiovascular risk factors and adopting healthier daily habits, reinforcing this year’s World Heart Day message, “Don’t Miss a Beat.”
Early Checks Matter Dr Saktimaya Mohapatra, Cluster Director, Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar, said, “Heart health should be a priority at every stage of life. Regular health checks and simple lifestyle changes can help identify risks early and support timely care.”
