Mangalore University will resume issuing hard copies of marks cards to undergraduate students from current academic year, says V-C

Mangalore University Vice-Chancellor P.L. Dharma said on Tuesday (September 29) that the university will resume issuing hard copies of marks cards, semester-wise, to its undergraduate students from the academic year 2026-27.

He informed the Academic Council meeting that the hard copies will be issued to students who joined the courses for the first semester of the current academic year. Students in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth semesters will continue to get the consolidated marks card after passing the sixth semester.

Mr. Dharma said that the university switched over to issuing consolidated marks cards, at the end of sixth semester, two years ago following the direction from the government. Students protested against this and demanded that semester-wise marks cards be issued. Now, the government has allowed the universities to revert to the old system.
