Mandya DC sets 15-day deadline for survey of encroached lands in KRS backwaters
The Mandya Deputy Commissioner has ordered a 15-day deadline for a joint survey to identify and map land encroachments in the KRS reservoir backwaters. Officials from the Revenue Department and CNNL have been directed to conduct physical inspections to resolve the issue.

Mandya Deputy Commissioner Kumar has set a 15-day deadline for completion of the joint survey of encroached lands in the backwaters of KRS reservoir.
Chairing a meeting at his office in Mandya on Tuesday (September 1) to review the increasing cases of encroachment in the backwaters of the reservoir, Mr. Kumar directed the Deputy Director of Land Records (DDLR) to complete the survey and submit a comprehensive report along with maps within 15 days.
He directed officials of the Revenue Department and the Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Ltd. (CNNL) to work in coordination and accurately identify the encroached lands.
During the joint survey, details such as the survey number, extent, boundaries and nature of the encroachment must be accurately recorded, and a report prepared along with maps, he said.
