Mandari to get clinic to improve healthcare delivery - Yussif Sulemana

Deputy Minister Yussif Sulemana has pledged to build a new clinic in the Mandari community to improve healthcare access and reduce maternal mortality. Local youth associations are also actively involved in community development, including sanitation and anti-drug initiatives.
Why it matters
Infrastructure development in rural areas is critical for improving public health outcomes and fostering community-led social progress.
Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi, Yussif Sulemana, has assured residents of Mandari, a farming community near Bole in the Savannah Region, of plans to establish a clinic to improve access to healthcare.
He said the proposed facility would help address the community’s healthcare needs, particularly maternal health, and reduce preventable maternal deaths.
Mr Sulemana gave the assurance at the first-ever homecoming durbar of the people of Mandari, where he pledged to work towards providing the community with a modern, fully equipped clinic.
He also cautioned the youth against drug abuse, urging them to avoid substances that could jeopardise their health, ambitions and future prospects.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Mandari and former Chief Executive Officer of the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA), Gilbert Iddi, highlighted the role of the Mandari Youth Association in promoting community development.
