COMMENTS Manchester United now have a list of three names as they look to strengthen their midfield.
The Red Devils missed out on Elliot Anderson, who completed a £116million move to Manchester City from Nottingham Forest earlier this month.
They also look set to miss Aurelien Tchouameni and Alex Scott, both of whom ranked highly on Michael Carrick ’s wishlist of engine room recruits.
Scott, the Bournemouth playmaker, was the subject of a £64million from Chelsea , Standard Sport understands, while Tchouameni is reported to have agreed a new contract at Real Madrid.
Some at United still believe the Frenchman could leave the Santiago Bernabeu, but Fabrizio Romano reports that he is unlikely to move.
