Liam Heylin A passenger stepped off a flight from Portugal and had just picked his suitcase from a carousel at Cork Airport when customs officers intercepted and detained him and allegedly found over €1 million worth of cocaine in his baggage.
Detective Garda Patrick O’Sullivan formally arrested 39-year-old Patrick Cahill of Delhurst Lane, Blanchardstown, Dublin, at Togher garda station at 10.45 p.m. on Tuesday night, September 1, and charged with him possession of the cocaine at Cork Airport at lunchtime on Monday, August 31, and having the drug for sale or supply to others.
