Man stabbed to death in Madurai over previous enmity

A 32-year-old man, Shyam Sundarrajan of Sholavandan, was stabbed to death within the limits of Sholavandan police station on Monday (October 5, 2026) night. The police suspect that a previous enmity among his relatives over an illicit relationship may have led to the murder.
While Sundarrajan was riding a bike on the Sholavandan-Vadipatti Road, he was waylaid and brutally attacked by a few unidentified persons at around 9 p.m. He died on the spot after sustaining multiple stab injuries.
The police are on the lookout for the suspects who are believed to be from the same locality.
