A 32-year-old man was stabbed to death following a drunken altercation at Central Junction here late on Saturday night. The deceased was identified as Vineeth, a native of Pampady. The accused, Sreekanth, a resident of Manganam, was arrested shortly after the incident, which occurred around 11.30 p.m.
According to the police, the two men were not known to each other and had allegedly been under the influence of alcohol when they got into an argument at the busy junction. The verbal exchange soon escalated into a physical confrontation, during which Sreekanth allegedly stabbed Vineeth.
