Man stabbed to death in Coimbatore district

R. Devadass of Salem, who had been residing at Karanampettai, was murdered over suspected previous enmity.
Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that Devadass had a quarrel with P. Ranjith (24) of Ramachiyampalayam a month ago.
Ranjith and his friend J. Ashok (20) of Selvapuram Colony near Somanur noticed Devadass consuming liquor at the bar attached to a Tasmac outlet at Ramachiyampalayam near Somanur around 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday.
They tailed Devadass as he walked towards the bank of River Noyyal.
