A man was hospitalized after being shot by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in New York City's Marble Hill neighborhood on Thursday, according to the Department of Homeland Security and New York City officials.The shooting occurred at about 4 p.m. local time near West 225th Street and Marble Hill Avenue.In a press conference Thursday night, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said ICE agents tried to arrest a man in a car with a 5-year-old boy in the backseat. One ICE agent fired seven rounds at the car, striking the 28-year-old Oscar Belgal in the neck, Tisch said.Officials said he was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The child was not injured and is in the care of a family member, Tisch said.The NYPD was not involved in the shooting, the department said.
