The Red Devils spent heavily to boost their ranks, particularly in midfield with three new additions coming in. Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Carlos Baleba arrived at Old Trafford as part of a large-scale rebuild in the engine room.
Karl Darlow also joined United on a free transfer to provide cover for Senne Lammens between the sticks. All four new signings have been named in Michael Carrick 's squad for the campaign ahead, but interestingly, there are two spots missing. Only 23 players out of a maximum of 25 were listed in United's official announcement on Thursday evening.
