Man killed after lorry crashes into broken-down car on side of NSE in Muar

A 43-year-old man died after a trailer crashed into his broken-down car on the North-South Expressway in Malaysia. The vehicle was stationary in the emergency lane without hazard lights when the collision occurred.

MUAR: A man died on the spot after the car he was travelling in, involved in an accident at KM138.9 of the North-South Expressway (NSE) southbound.
Muar OCPD Asst Comm Raiz Mukhliz Aziz said the 43-year-old victim, a local, was the front passenger of the car driven by a 30-year-old Malaysian man.
He said the car carrying two men broke down and stopped in the emergency lane of the NSE on Thursday (Oct 8) at 12.15am.
“The car was stationary in the emergency lane without its hazard or position lights turned on," ACP Raiz Mukhliz said in a statement.
He said shortly after, a trailer approaching from behind crashed into the rear of the car.
