Pahadishareef police arrested a 34-year-old bike mechanic within 30 hours of receiving a complaint in connection with the murder and alleged rape of a 21-year-old nurse at Thukkuguda.
The accused was identified as Md. Sanaullah, a native of Begusarai district in Bihar who worked and stayed at a bike mechanic shop .
According to the police, the woman’s aunt lodged a complaint around 3.20 p.m. on August 29 after the victim’s friend informed her that the woman had not come out of her room since morning and was not responding to repeated knocks. The room was entered through a window and the woman was found lying dead with bleeding injuries on her face.
Police said their investigation, supported by technical evidence and specific information, led them to Sanaullah, who was apprehended on the evening of Sunday (August 30, 2026).
