An employee of a motorcycle showroom was arrested for entering a house in MKB Nagar and taking away a motorcycle, along with ₹43,000 kept in its storage compartment, over an alleged instalment default.
The accused was identified as Arun, an employee of a private motorcycle showroom in MKB Nagar. The police are searching for his colleague Gopi, who allegedly accompanied him.
According to the police, Sam Murthy, 21, had purchased the motorcycle in his sister’s name from the showroom in June and was paying the monthly instalments. On September 24, Arun and Gopi allegedly went to Murthy’s house and demanded that he hand over the motorcycle, claiming that the instalments were not paid properly.
An argument ensued, following which the duo allegedly abused the siblings and took the motorcycle. Murthy later realised that ₹43,000 had been kept in the vehicle.
