Man held for illegal possession of country-made gun and over 100 crude bombs in Chickballapur

The Batlahalli police in Chintamani taluk of Chickballapur district have arrested a 35-year-old suspected gunrunner and seized a country-made gun and 146 country-made bombs allegedly stored illegally at his house.
The accused has been identified as Narasimhappa, a resident of Bodagundlahalli village.
Acting on a tip-off, police teams from the Kencharlahalli Police Station and Batlahalli Police Station raided the premises.
During the search, the police allegedly found and seized a country-made gun and 146 country-made bombs and arrested Narasimhappa.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the bombs had been stored for hunting wild animals. He is suspected to be the main supplier of the weapons to the people in and around the village.
