Man held for damaging Tasmac outlet near Arakkonam

A 38-year-old man was arrested by Sholighur Police in Ranipet on Thursday for drilling a hole at a TASMAC outlet at Pandiyanallur village near Sholighur town a few days ago.
The arrested person was identified as B. Kumar, a native of Gingee in Villupuram district. He has cases registered against him in several police stations in Villupuram and Cuddalore districts.
Initial inquiry revealed that salesman K. Rajan, 42, opened the outlet around noon on Monday. When he went inside the shop, he found a hole had been drilled on the wall to gain access to the stocks in the shop. However, the staff found racks of liquor bottles safe. The CCTV cameras fixed inside the outlet and the hard disk were also not damaged.
