Man held after claiming he threw 3 children in canal

Jhelum - Jhelum police have arrested a man, identified as Zeeshan, after he allegedly claimed that he had thrown his three children into a canal in the Mangla police station area.

According to preliminary police investigations, the suspect is allegedly addicted to drugs, while his wife, with whom he reportedly has strained relations, has been living at her parents' home. Police said they were investigating the matter from all possible angles to determine the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the children.

Salman Akram Raja released after four-hour detention

DPO Jhelum SSP Shafiq Ahmed Chaudhry said further investigation was under way and police were trying to ascertain what had happened to the children.
