Man gets life term for murder in Salem

A man was awarded life imprisonment here on Monday (September 21, 2026), for murdering a woman.
The accused, Siva (35), a resident of Mettupathi near Karuppur in Salem district, was a casual labourer. There was an ongoing enmity between him and S. Revathi (27), a local resident. Meanwhile, on September 14, 2016, Siva tried to misbehave with her, and when she resisted, he poured kerosene over her and burnt her.
