The Tambaram City Police arrested a 25-year-old man from Bihar at the Central railway station on Thursday, barely two hours after he allegedly murdered his co-worker during a quarrel at a biriyani shop in Selaiyur.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 3.15 p.m. on Thursday when Dharmender Turi, 24, a native of Bihar and an employee at a biriyani shop in Selaiyur, got into an argument with his co-worker Irfan over a petty issue. During the altercation, Irfan allegedly assaulted Dharmender with a wooden log, inflicting a severe head injury. Dharmender died on the spot.
