Man from Bihar arrested for murdering wife

A 24-year-old man from Bihar has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife in Bengaluru, wrapping her body in a bedsheet, abandoning it inside their rented house, and fleeing.
The accused has been identified as Dhiraj Kumar, a resident of East Champaran district in Bihar.
Kumar had allegedly fled to his native place, where he was traced subsequently and arrested by the Kumbalagodu police. The victim has been identified as Reema Kumari.
According to the police, the couple rented a room in a four-storey building in Gerupalya near Kumbalagodu in December 2025. On July 29, around 6.30 p.m., Kumari’s friend visited the couple’s house and noticed a foul smell emanating from it. Subsequently, she alerted the building owner.
