A man is a critical condition in hospital after being stabbed in Manchester city centre . Police were on patrol on Peter Street, a busy street lined with bars and restaurants just off Deansgate , at around 3.40am this morning (Sunday, July 19) when they found the injured man. Officers found he had suffered stab wound injuries and gave him first aid. The 31-year-old was rushed to hospital from the scene. He is in a stable but critical condition, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said.
