Man falls to death from second floor of apartment in Mtwapa, Kilifi

Police are investigating an incident where a 25-year-old man died after sustaining serious injuries in a fall from the second floor of an apartment in Mtwapa, Kilifi county.
The deceased, identified as Hillary Misati, reportedly fell from the second floor of an apartment in Mtwapa Township on September 8, 2026, at about 5 am.
Misati sustained multiple injuries to his legs and head following the incident.
He was rushed to Mtwapa Sub-County Hospital, where he received treatment before being referred to Kilifi County Referral Hospital for specialised care.
The incident was reported to Mtwapa Police Station by a woman who identified herself as the deceased’s girlfriend.
She reportedly visited Misati at the referral facility and was informed that he had succumbed to his injuries at an unknown time a day later.
Police visited the scene. The scene was documented and secured pending further processing by the Scenes of Crime team.
