A 26-year-old migrant worker is in a critical condition after he fell from the first floor of a construction site in Vanagaram on Saturday night.

The police said Rubial Mondal was a native of Murshidabad in West Bengal.

For the past six months, he had been working as a labourer at the construction site of a commercial complex on Captain TV Road in Vanagaram in Chennai. When Mondal was involved in cement concrete paving work on Saturday, he lost his footing and fell from a height of 15 feet.
