Man dies in collision between car and bus in West Waterford

    Erin Gahan A man in his 60s has died following a collision involving a car and a bus in Waterford yesterday evening.

The fatal road traffic collision occurred on the N25 between Youghal and Dungarvan at Kinsalebeg shortly before 8pm yesterday evening, Sunday, September 20.

The driver of the car, a male in his mid 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

All occupants of the bus were medically assessed at the scene and no serious injuries were reported.

The road was closed last night to allow for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators but has since fully reopened.

The coroner has been notified, An Garda Síochána have confirmed, and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
