Kanniyakumari district police have detained a 33-year-old man under the Goondas Act for his alleged involvement in illegal transportation of minerals to Kerala without proper permission.

T. Sibin of Chitharal was arrested by Kaliyakkavilai police for transporting mineral resources illegally to Kerala and was remanded in judicial custody. Based on the recommendation of District Superintendent of Police Anshul Nagar, Collector M. Prathap ordered his detention under the Goondas Act.
