Man, daughter killed in road accident while returning after distributing wedding invitations

A man and his 24-year-old daughter, who was scheduled to get married on October 2, were killed after a gravel-laden tipper rammed their moped at Aramghar crossroads late on Wednesday night. The two were returning after distributing wedding invitation cards when the accident occurred, said an officer from the Mailardevpally police.
The victims were identified as 45-year-old Ismail Khan and his daughter Bushra Begum, residents of Suleman Nagar in Attapur. Ismail, the sole breadwinner of the family, sold bags at Charminar, he is survived by wife and two daughters.
Police said a gravel-laden tipper, travelling from Hayathnagar towards Attapur, rammed their moped at around 11.18 p.m. near the railway bridge at Aramghar. The two-wheeler was dragged along after the collision, with the father and daughter being run over by the vehicle. Both died at the spot.
