Jorden Turney, 32, appeared briefly at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Monday accused of murdering a 29-year-old woman in his Clyde North home last night.
Emergency services were called to the house on Generation Drive about 6:30pm, where they found the woman with critical injuries.
She was rushed to The Alfred hospital, but she died a short time later.
