Police discovered the body on a welfare check at the Woodridge home on North Road about 7am.
Kane Simon Hocking, 32, was arrested at Beenleigh about 8pm and his matter was mentioned in court this afternoon.
Mr Hocking did not appear, and Beenleigh Magistrates Court heard he was in hospital.
The matter was adjourned for mention tomorrow.
