Man arrested travelling to France after Hounslow fatal fire

A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a fatal fire at a residential property in Hounslow, London. The incident resulted in the death of a 48-year-old woman and injuries to eight others.

A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a fatal fire in west London.
The Met was called to a residential address on Berkeley Avenue, Hounslow, at about 01:15 BST on Wednesday following reports of the blaze. A 48-year-old woman died in hospital and eight others were injured.
Another woman, aged 40, remains in hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Officers from Kent Police arrested the man on Sunday while he was travelling to France by train. He remains in custody, the Metropolitan Police said.
