A special team of the Otteri police arrested a 29-year-old man from Virudhunagar on Wednesday for snatching a gold chain from a teacher in the foot overbridge of Vandalur railway station.
Lebanon Rechel Devaselvi, a teacher involved in census survey, was proceeding towards the Vandalur railway station, when an unidentified person snatched her gold chain and escaped on August 22. A video of the incident went viral on the social media.
