Man arrested for double murder in Kadapa district

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Superintendent of Police (SP) Shelke Nachiket Vishwanath said that accused had been identified as Chevitivandla Babu, a resident of Dandora Colony, Ramanjaneyapuram, in Kadapa. The deceased, his 22-year-old daughter, Harika, was pursuing B. Tech at Annamacharya College in Rajampet.
While studying in Intermediate, Harika reportedly fell in love with a young man. Babu, who learned about the matter subsequently spoke to the young man’s parents, who agreed to a marriage between the two after she completed her education. In the meantime, she used to allegedly spoke with the young man over phone and even at their house.
