Forest Department officials have arrested a 36 year old man Andisamy from Karuppu Kovil in Agasthiyarpuram on the charges of attempting to hunt wildlife using a country-made gun in Sirumalai.
The officials seized the country-made gun, gunpowder and an ebony log. During the inquiry, it was revealed that the country-made gun was supplied to him and he was instructed to hunt wildlife. The officials have registered a case and are on the lookout for the person who supplied the country made gun to Andisamy.
