Share A A A A man has been found dead with significant burns in the driveway of his western Sydney home, with his son under police guard in hospital after being arrested in his car hours later.
Emergency services were called to Wargon Crescent, Glenmore Park, about 12.50am on Thursday, when the body of the man in his 60s was found.
Police and forensic officers at the crime scene established at a home on Wargon Crescent, Glenmore Park. Kate Geraghty An accelerant is believed to have been used in the incident and the front door of the home had been forced open. Firefighters hosed down a small fire outside the house.
The man’s 36-year-old son was arrested in a car on Parkes Avenue, Werrington, about 6.45am.
