<p>A man has been arrested after two alleged assaults in Hawke's Bay left one in a critical condition and another suffering stab wounds yesterday morning. </p> <p>Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Phil Sayer said Flaxmere police were called at around 8.40am after a person was taken to hospital following an assault on Kirkwood Road. </p> <p>"They remain in hospital in a critical condition." </p> <p>Shortly after, a person suffered stab wounds in a second alleged attack on Palgrave Ave. They were not seriously injured.
