Man, 50s, dies after van crashes in Co Cork

A man aged in his 50s has died after a single-vehicle crash involving a van in Co Cork.

Gardaí said the crash happened on the Lee Road sometime between 10pm last night and 2.10am this morning.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to a local mortuary.

The road is closed pending a forensic examination, with local diversions in place.
