NEW DELHI: The Trinamool Congress on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the BJP over law and order in West Bengal, claiming that more than 2,400 rape cases were recorded in the state in just five months.In a post on X, the All India Trinamool Congress cited figures attributed to the State Crime Records Bureau and claimed that 2,454 rape cases were registered during the five-month period.The party also cited figures for other crimes, claiming that Bengal recorded 600 murder cases, 13,114 attempted murder cases and 32,341 cases of assault causing grievous hurt during the same period.“2,400+ RAPE CASES IN BENGAL IN JUST 5 MONTHS UNDER BJP!” the TMC said in its post, accusing the BJP of turning Bengal into a place where women and ordinary citizens are increasingly being forced to live in fear.'Is…
