A new poll has found that a majority of Americans oppose President Donald Trump’s decisions to rename Lake Ontario to Lake America and impose higher tariffs on Canadian goods. In the 3-day Reuters/Ipsos poll that ended Sunday, 63% said they opposed renaming Lake Ontario to Lake America, compared to 14% in favor. The rest were undecided or skipped the question. The survey also found that 57% opposed new tariffs on Canadian goods, compared to 20% who supported the measures. When asked by Fox News Digital for reaction, White House spokeswoman Taylor Rogers said, "Canada has been a bad neighbor by ripping off our country for years. "President Trump promised voters that he would not allow our country to be taken advantage of anymore, which is why he is fighting so hard to protect American industries and workers.
