June 17, 2026 - Sapporo, Japan - SmileBoom Co.Ltd. today released the major update Ver. 2.5 for "RPG Developer Bakin" (read as "BAH-keen"; hereafter referred to as Bakin). This update introduces a variety of new and improved features to support game development, including the ability to use Live2D models directly within games. In addition, the "SmileBoom Early Summer Sale 2026" is now underway, offering Bakin itself and various DLCs at special discounted prices. To further increase awareness of games created with Bakin and support creators, we have also launched a Steam Curator page featuring selected titles and begun accepting submissions of user-created works.
