Major bureaucratic reshuffle in Keralam; post of Additional District Magistrate, Sabarimala, created to coordinate activities of departments

The Kerala government has implemented a major bureaucratic reshuffle, including the creation of a new Additional District Magistrate post specifically for Sabarimala. Several senior IAS officers have been reassigned to new departments, including Health, Forest, and Education.
Why it matters
Administrative reshuffles are critical for governance efficiency, particularly in managing high-traffic religious sites like Sabarimala.
The State government has created an ex-cadre post of Additional District Magistrate, Sabarimala, in the Senior Time Scale of IAS, which will be equivalent in status and responsibility to the cadre post of Deputy Secretary to government. Dilip K. Kainikkara has been appointed to the post. The officer will have the full responsibility to coordinate the activities of all the government departments and agencies situated in Sabarimala, Pampa, and Nilackal in connection with Mandalam- Makaravilakku season.
