Majji quits YSRCP, set to join TDP

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has suffered a setback in Vizianagaram district on Tuesday with the resignation of Vizianagaram Zilla Parishad Chairperson and YSRCP District president Majji Srinivasa Rao.
According to sources Mr. Srinivasa Rao who belongs to the Kapu community, had reportedly developed differences with his uncle Botcha Satyanarayana, former Minister and Leader of the Opposition in the A.P. Legislative Council. Sources said: “Mr. Srinivasa Rao is expected to join the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).”
Mr. Srinivas Rao submitted his resignation letter to former Chief Minister and YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, citing personal reasons. He also resigned from the post of YSRCP in-charge for the Bhimili assembly constituency.
