MAHE to host conference on infectious diseases
The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) is partnering with Nature to host a conference on infectious diseases in October. The event will focus on antimicrobial resistance, pandemic preparedness, and global health strategies.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will host the “Nature Conference on Meeting the Challenge of Infectious Diseases in a Changing World” from October 14 to 16 in Manipal.
Organised in partnership with Nature Medicine, Nature Microbiology, Nature Health, Nature Communications and MAHE, the conference will provide a global platform for international experts, researchers, clinicians, policymakers and industry leaders to collaborate on infectious disease research, innovation and public health strategies, said a release.
It will address emerging pathogens, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), pandemic preparedness, disease surveillance, diagnostics, therapeutics, vaccination strategies and one health approaches. Given India’s growing influence in global health research, the conference will provide a valuable platform for Indian scientists, public health experts and students to engage with internationally recognised specialists and showcase the nation’s growing scientific achievements.
MAHE Vice-Chancellor Sharath K. Rao said, “The challenges posed by emerging pathogens and antimicrobial resistance demand collaborative, interdisciplinary solutions.“
