Mahama announces plans to import electric wheelchairs for PWDs

Goaso (Ah/R), Oct 10, GNA – President John Dramani Mahama has announced Government’s plans to import rechargeable electric wheelchairs for persons with disabilities (PWDs).
He explained that the pilot project was to facilitate the movement of PWDs and that when the electric wheelchairs were in, they would be handed over to the National Council on Disability.
The President made the revelation during his Citizens’ Engagement in Goaso at the end of his two-day Resetting Ghana Tour of the Ahafo Region.
He reiterated that when the pilot project was successfully executed, it would be replicated annually.
