Magnets could help quantum computers talk to each other, says researcher

Northeastern University professor Xufeng Zhang is researching the use of magnons, or spin waves, to improve the power efficiency of computer chips. By utilizing magnetic materials, this technology aims to eliminate ohmic loss, which is a primary cause of heat in modern electronics.
