The PG and Research Department of Chemistry, Fatima College, Madurai, organised the N. Shakunthala Endowment Lecture. About 150 students participated.

Balamurugan Arumugam, Postdoctoral Researcher, Laboratory of Bio-Analytical Chemistry, National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan, delivered a lecture on ‘Invisible Chemicals, Visible Solutions: Electrochemical Detection of Pharmaceutical and Agrochemical Residues’.

He explained the role of electrochemistry in detecting pharmaceutical and agrochemical waste and interacted with students.

Arul Anandar College organises an interschool English language and literary competition.

Arul Anandar College, Karumathur, organised ‘English Excellence 2026’, an interschool English language and literary competition. About 120 students from 12 schools participated.

Rev. S. Basil Xavier SJ, Rector, presided. Akshara Matriculation School, Nagamalai, won the overall trophy, while Kazhuvathevar Memorial Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Checkanoorani, was the runner-up. Certificates and trophies were distributed to the winners.
