But the commission refused his application, insisting on continuing with proceedings despite threats of an interdict by Matlala’s legal team and suggestions of them possibly withdrawing as his lawyers.
Matlala’s Advocate, Annelene van den Heever, has been visibly absent in the auditorium of the Bridget Mabandla Justice College on Monday morning, with her colleague, Advocate Fatima Missi, informing the commission that she is unwell.
