MADITSSIA disappointed as MSME policy statement lacks announcement for infrastructure

In a statement, MADITSSIA president V Senthikumar said that only the existing 50% subsidy for infrastructure facilities to set up private industrial estates has been announced; the crucial demand for the government to fully provide 100% infrastructure facilities has been omitted.
Similarly, there was no reduction in power fixed charges, nor was the solar set-off facility extended to business enterprises in the same manner as residential consumers. It is disappointing that there were no announcements or financial allocations made regarding the Madurai-Thoothukudi industrial corridor.
The Minister’s announcement lacked any provision for a 25% subsidy for MSMEs to install solar energy, which is essential for easily accessing clean energy research and technologies.
