Madhvani land dispute dismissed by High Court

The High Court has dismissed a land dispute in which Muljibhai Madhvani & Company Ltd sought to overturn a consent judgment recognising Pastor Daniel Walugembe as the owner of about 168 acres of land in Busiro, Wakiso District.

Acting High Court Judge Ida Nakiganda, in her September 9 ruling, dismissed Madhvani’s application after finding that the company had failed to attach the consent judgment it sought to have reviewed, a document the court said was critical in establishing that the company was an aggrieved party with the legal standing to bring the case.
