Helio Varela opened the scoring in the first minute with a long-range strike. Sokler later converted a penalty to double Maccabi’s advantage. Hapoel Be’er Sheva were reduced to 10 players after Eliel Peretz was sent off.
Before the break, Amir Ganah cut the visitors’ deficit to 1:2. In the second half, Sokler scored for the second time after an assist from Varela, and Maccabi added another goal to seal a resounding victory.
